Thanks, Hemisphire, for posting. there’s one additional ‘Toy Story’ song on my scribbled notes (where the bad kid talks about his ‘art’ in destroying toys).
the time was too short,but was dictated by the Kennedy Center; they only allow 1 hour for any of their Millenium Stage shows. Regardless, every seat was taken, and Meg and I saw lots of walk-ups in response to what they were hearing. One other news note: McCarter has 100% confirmed staging Sleeping Beauty Wakes in the spring 2011. Hooray.

My thanks to ‘hemisphire’ for posting the video link to last night’s performance. I just watched it, and thought it was great. I enjoyed the songs fron Long Story Short, and Toy Story… which I had never heard before. Now that I’ve moved to Tennessee, I don’t get to see GrooveLily as much as I used to, so I really appreciate the video link.

Folks, I just trekked back from Princeton where I was among a privileged 100 or so to witness (and enjoy!) the latest incarnation of SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES ! It was awesome. The cast was phenomenal (and featured special vocal appearances by both Brendan and Val) and the material was so well received.

The cast and production team evidently spent 29 hours or so this week workshopping, tweaking and otherwise tinkering with script…it was a truly enjoyable couple of hours.

Long live SLEEPING BEAUTY WAKES and I hope they will blog about their feelings on the last week once they finish up with the excitement down in DC!
