I wasn't sure if it was ever gonna come on, but it finally did! At about 1:20, I got to hear Valerie Vigoda on The Young and the Restless. The song was "Home" and was perfectly placed. I was all goose-bumpy! A HUGE congratulations to you, Val. Step by step, you guys are headed up. We'll be watching! Dave |

So Dave, inquiring minds want to know, what were you doing watching a soap opera in the middle of the daytime ? Even this stay-at-home mom had to tape it for later viewing. Thanks though for the tip as to when in the show it was on, although even with that I must have zapped around it trying to find it. Rob finally sat and really watched until he found it. Didn't you just wish they'd stop talking so you could hear the music better ? Terry |

Folks, For anyone else that may have taped the "The Young & The Restless" from March 19th. Look for the scene with a woman with straight blonde hair sitting at a desk talking to some young guy (OK, every one is young on this show ). The song starts shortly after this guy leaves the room. Dave says this is about 1:20, so I guess that is about 20 minutes into the show. Yes, I found myself reaching for the "dialog mute" button on the remote control several times. What's with all that talking and kissing on top of Val's great song? Very rude. Did anyone notice if the band was mentioned in the closing credits? -- Rob |

Actually Rob, it was approximately 50 minutes into the show. I don't know why my stupid self didn't tape the show; I had every intention to. I didn't notice if the credits mentioned Val. I am tinkering with the idea of sending an e-mail to the show asking them who was responsible for the beautiful song at the end of the show and how I could find the music. Waddaya think? Oh, and Terry, I NEVER watch soaps but I knew it was coming on. I am working evenings this week so I got to watch it. I mean, I had it on -- I wasn't actually watching it. Really. Boy, that Victor still looks good, doesn't he? Dave |

Okay, so I JUST found my tape of "Jersey's Talking". Personally, I think its great! Michael and I were watching it together (its a bonding thing). You should have seen the look on his face during LF,LB when he realized that "THEY FORGOT THE SECOND VERSE!!!!" He was just jamming away, singing EVERY word and then "the look". Funny. Any reason why y'all shortened it? TV? Shannon was great! I find it to be a song that I really have to concentrate on; do I try for lyrics or the music? I'm too ignant to do both. Where have I seen Lee Leonard before? Was he a news correspondant? Or some talk show host? Terry and Rob, thanks so much for the vid! The quality was very good and I know that someday, we are all gonna be firing up the old vcr so we can tape GrooveLily on Austin City Limits. Hmmm, I just thought of that. Now THERE is something that should be pursued!! Dave |

Dave, No problem. However we do expect you to reciprocate by sending us a copy of the Oxygen show, whenever it's on, since we don't get that network. Do you ? Actually, Rob's mother and sister get it, so we'll try to get them to tape it for us. I guess you didn't notice that they also left out part of Shannon. I didn't either until I asked Brendan about LF/LB at the concert the following evening and he told me that they had to cut Shannon short too. Yes, it was a TV time constraint thing. Lee Leonard has been around on TV for years, although I'm not sure exactly where you might have seen him. Did Rob leave his opening monologue on your copy of the tape ? We had sent a note into school with our 11 year old daughter to give her friends to get them to watch the show, and were cringing waiting for GrooveLily to finally come on and play music. Hey, is Austin City Limits still on the air? Gee, I haven't thought about that show in years. I used to watch it all the time, in my younger days. Terry |

Hey Terry, Just as an FYI, the airdate for the Pure Oxygen broadcast is (I believe) now set for May 6. Not sure of the time but I think it's one of those shows that's broadcast 2 or 3 times each day). More details as available! David |

Thanks for the FYI, David, even though I'm not Terry!! My daughter's boyfriend happens to get the Oxygen network and has promised to tape it for us. |

What a great performance! My neighborhood friends gathered at my home for lunch today and were once again blown away by Val, Brendan and Gene. The host was crazy and the performance was incredible. Nice bonus of "I dont wanna fall in love" at the end of the show. Cheers, PP Bud |

and, of course you taped the entire thing and it is now, as we speak, wending it's way to new jersey which, despite the fact of being neighbor and close cousin to nyc, does NOT offer the oxygen network.... grrrr. you texans sure know how to do some stuff really right! |

Bud, I guess it's the price we pay for getting to see them live so often here in New Jersey, that we don't get the Oxygen Network on our cable system. Hopefully Rob's mother and/or sister got it on tape for us in New York. Glad you enjoyed it. How cool that you had a mini-block party at your house to watch it. Hopefully we'll get to see it soon. I just wish the cruise wasn't in November, when the kids are in school, because I'd love to get to meet the other GL fans from around the country, in person. Terry |

Terry, Well if it makes Meg feel any better...my VCR has obviously stopped working. I did watch it a second time at 4:30 Central and prob. will catch it again at 10 tonight. I can not go on the cruise either although I am going on the same cruise next week during my companies convention. It would be a much better trip in Nov with the band on board. I would love to meet all of the other Petal Pushers sometime soon. I just may fly to the NE to a future show. I think I have this Wednesdays winning lottery ticket. Cheers, Bud |

Nyaa nyaa, I got it! Yes, it was a great (was there ever a doubt?) performance. I love these guys more every time I see them! I'll see what I can do to get some copies. BTW, I taped the show on the same tape that Terry and Rob recorded the New Jersey's Talking show performance on. Ain't I just the lucky guy. I'll trade for three tix to Lake Hopalong Dave |

We finally got to see the Pure Oxygen show this past weekend. Rob's mother taped it for us, although when she checked the tape to make sure it had taped ok and saw the opening segment about women's undergarments, she thought she had taped the wrong show. Did anyone else think the song sounded a bit different, maybe faster, than usual? Did they have to speed it up to fit it into the alloted time slot ? I wish the hostess had watched her language. Our 11 year old commented that she said a bad word several times. Hopefully the 5 year old didn't notice. As Dave mentioned at the Yahoo site, the hostess completely ignored Brendan and Gene! And Dave, you're off the hook now. You don't need to send us a copy, since we now have one. Terry |

V/B/G: Please confirm/deny your musical contribution to the current tv ads from Microsoft. The violin especially seems like your doing, Val! |

Hey John, and Gene, I haven't seen the Microsoft ads yet, but it could also be Caryn Lin. She's another gal that plays a mean electric violin. I've seen her several times. She has numerous effects and looping pedals, and puts on quite a show. Check out her website: http://www.carynlin.com --Ed |
